ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Philanthropy and Events Manager (3 days per week) during term-time and non-term time. The role will require some flexibility around working days to accommodate scheduled events.
The Philanthropy and Events Manager is responsible for managing events, driving fundraising and retention programs, and securing strong sustainable relationships with corporates, foundations, donors and community stakeholders to maintain the fundraising income and the profile of St Lucy's Foundation Trust and St Lucy's School.
You will be responsible for developing the annual fundraising plan, identifying donor and partnership opportunities and supporting the stewardship of our high value donors and developing new fundraising channels of support.
This position will collaborate closely with the Grants Manager and the Leadership team to secure funding and build strategic partnerships in alignment with St Lucy's School's strategic priorities, mission and goals.
More than just leading campaigns this role will inspire community participation, fostering meaningful connections and helping to deliver experiences that raise essential funds for the school.
This hands-on autonomous role requires strategic, proactive and resourceful thinking. The role will operate with clear Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) aligned to income growth, partner retention and new business development to ensure accountability and measurable impact. This role will be allocated specific donor relationship portfolio to manage end-to-end relationships in addition to building new relationships.

To be successful for this role, the following experience, skills and attributes are essential.:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Fundraising, Events Management, or similar role, ideally within a school environment.
- Completed post-secondary training provided by an accredited training provider relevant to this role, or engaged in extensive equivalent in-service training, or has significant substantial technical and procedural knowledge equivalent to the required post-secondary training.
- An understanding of marketing and/or communications practices and processes is highly desirable.
- Outstanding communications and relationship management skills, including an ability to provide oral presentations to groups/meetings; prepare effective letters and short reports; and possess an excellent telephone manner.
- Understand the event marketplace and current promotional techniques.
- Excellent organisational skills and thrive at multi-tasking within a results driven team.
- Strong interpersonal and partnership management skills with an ability to deal with complex internal and external requirements and priorities. Comfortable with working with a wide range of people from across the school community to understand and align goals and requirements.
- The capacity to work autonomously or as a member of a team in a flexible and resourceful manner, including the ability to work under pressure in a changing and fast paced environment whilst displaying the professional qualities of integrity, initiative and reliability.
- Strong technical skills, with ability to operate and effectively use a wide range of office equipment and technology including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Trybooking, Outlook Express, and Fundraising Software packages.
- Demonstrated experience of working collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrated initiative and flexibility in work practices, strong attention to detail and the ability to work without supervision and to meet deadlines.
- Proven ability in setting priorities, planning and organising your own workload and proactively identifying and solving problems related to your area.
- Ability to supervise and co-ordinate groups of people (e.g., event committees etc.) to deliver required outcomes.
- Ability to work, when necessary, after hours to attend meetings and other events as required by this role.
- A sense of humour.
- Driver's license and willingness to use your own transport if required.
- A current Working with Children Check.
- A preparedness to embrace the ethos and values of St Lucy's School.
