About the Role

We're looking for a Bar Manager to lead our bar team and uphold the highest standards of service, product quality, and efficiency. You'll take ownership of all things bar-related — from service execution and staff training to stock control, maintenance, and menu innovation.

This role suits a hands-on leader who thrives behind the bar, inspires their team, and balances creativity with strong operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Service Leadership

  • Lead by example during busy service, ensuring product quality, pace, and consistency.
  • Oversee batching, prep schedules, and par levels to maintain readiness for peak trade.
  • Maintain communication with the team via chats and briefings to align on standards and updates.

Training & Development

  • Create and deliver structured training sessions for the team across cocktails, wine, spirits, and beer.
  • Provide on-shift coaching and performance feedback.
  • Promote a culture of growth, product knowledge, and professional development.

Bar Maintenance

  • Implement and monitor daily and deep-cleaning checklists, ensuring a spotless and functional bar.
  • Educate staff on safe bar practices and equipment handling.
  • Report and follow up on maintenance issues promptly.

Stock Control & COGS Management

  • stock ordering, receiving, and reconciliation
  • COGS management.
  • Implement waste recording and control strategies.

Menu Development

  • Lead the creation of seasonal cocktail menus that reflect brand identity and COGS targets.
  • Maintain up-to-date cocktail and wine bibles as reference and training tools.
  • Drive innovation and guest engagement through beverage creativity and consistency.
  • Have full control of the beverage program.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a high-volume bar or restaurant.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of bar management or supervisory experience required.
  • Strong product knowledge across cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A proactive mindset with high attention to detail.
  • Passion for hospitality and team development.
  • High-volume bar experience including cocktail bars, restaurants, and nightclubs.
