Tap That Brewery & Keghouse is an exciting new brewery dedicated to crafting classic beers, tasty ‘near beers’, as well as RTD spirits and cocktails to be enjoyed from home via our signature Home Keg Systems in 20L kegs, or in our 35-seat Taproom.

What's this job all about?

Well we are on the hunt for an enthusiastic and hardworking 'Assistant Brewer' who is eager to learn the art and science of brewing from one of the best in the business - our Head Brewer, Chris Smith.

In addition to supporting Chris, you will also serve in our taproom, ensuring our punters have an exceptional and educational experience. You'll get the inside info from them on what they think about us and our beer by providing some friendly banter while you talk to them all about us.

This dual role is perfect for someone who wants to get hands-on in both the production and service sides of the craft beer industry.

Brew Crew Responsibilities:
Assist our Head Brewer with all aspects of brewing on our 10hL 2 vessel system.

You’ll play a vital role in keeping our brewhouse, cellar, and storage areas sparkling clean while monitoring the quality and consistency throughout the brewing process. Plus, help us with inventory management and ingredient sourcing No prior brewing experience? No worries We’re dedicated to providing the training you need to succeed. But... if you know what milling, mashing and lautering are that is a bonus

At the bar you will be:

- Providing friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service
- Sharing your insights about our beers, brewing process, and the story behind our company
- Assisting with bar setup, restocking, and keeping things tidy
- Handling cash and credit transactions with accuracy
- Contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere in our taproom
- Retail sales of our merch and Home Keg Systems
- Completed or are currently pursuing the Certificate III in Food Processing (Brewing) program or previous brewing experience
- Hospitality experience
- A genuine passion for craft beer and an eagerness to learn the brewing process
- A current RSA
- A QLD Forklift license (we can help you get this)
- Up for some lifting of heavy objects (up to 20kg)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Pay: $32.08 - $45.00 per hour
