Business Development Manager - Westberg Sheetmetal – Melbourne, VIC

Westberg Sheetmetal is looking for something rare: a sales leader who can sell, read CAD, and speak the language of sheetmetal. This isn't a support role or a cog in a machine. You'll be the one person responsible for taking a proven business and driving it forward as if it were your own.

The Role

You'll own business development end-to-end: finding opportunities, shaping quotes, converting deals, and managing relationships through delivery. You'll be the commercial engine of the company. With high autonomy and direct access to leadership, you'll shape the growth strategy, open markets, and win the trust of builders, architects, OEMs, and engineers.

This is a career-defining role for someone who thrives when handed responsibility and held accountable for results.

What You'll Do

  • Build, manage, and grow client relationships across manufacturing, construction, and OEM sectors
  • Use CAD (SolidWorks) to assess feasibility and communicate solutions with authority
  • Prepare and deliver accurate quotes and proposals that convert
  • Drive pipeline visibility, reporting, and forecasting
  • Be the face of Westberg at site visits, walkthroughs, and industry events
  • Work with production and design to make sure what you sell can be delivered profitably

What We're Looking For

  • Proven track record in business development or sales management
  • CAD capability: you can read, modify, and discuss drawings with clients and engineers
  • Sheetmetal or fabrication industry experience – non-negotiable
  • Commercially sharp, accountable, and comfortable working without big-company support structures
  • Hungry, resilient, and able to create opportunities where none exist
