About the role
The aim of Turning Point is to reduce AOD related harm to individuals and their families by providing integrated service response to promote recovery.
The Project Officer provides project and administrative support across Turning Point's Specialist Clinical Services, with a focus on initiatives arising from government reforms such as the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System. This role supports the delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of projects and services, including those linked to new funding streams, integrated care models, and statewide coordination efforts. Key responsibilities include preparing internal and external reports, supporting service development, coordinating stakeholder engagement, and assisting with policy and procedure reviews to ensure alignment with Eastern Health standards.
About you
Essential:
- A proactive and detail-oriented professional.
- Have a relevant tertiary qualification in health, social sciences, public health, project management, or a related discipline.
- Have demonstrated experience in providing project and administrative support within health, community, or government service settings, and are confident in coordinating and contributing to service improvement initiatives.
- Have strong organisational skills enable you to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Possess high-level written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to prepare clear and concise reports, meeting minutes, and stakeholder correspondence.
- Experience in reviewing and maintaining operational procedures and guidelines, ensuring alignment with organisational standards.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is a key strength, and you bring a sound understanding of quality and safety principles in healthcare, including continuous improvement and compliance frameworks.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant systems used for reporting, documentation, and communication.
- Your work reflects a commitment to Eastern Health's values and strategic directions, and you demonstrate this alignment in your daily practice.
Desirable attributes include:
- Additional training or certification in project management.
- Experience working in addiction, mental health, or integrated care services.
- Familiarity with Victorian health sector reforms and reporting requirements for government-funded programs.
- A forward-thinking mindset with the ability to identify and promote opportunities for innovation and improved ways of working.
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
