The Victorian Integrated Cancer Services (VICS) are Victoria's cancer services improvement network. The VICS are funded by the Victorian Department of Health. Together we deliver strategic cancer services improvement aligned with the Victorian Cancer Plan, VICS Implementation Plan, and Optimal Care Pathways.

About North Eastern Melbourne Integrated Cancer Service

North Eastern Melbourne Integrated Cancer Service (NEMICS) is funded by the Victorian Department of Health and is one of nine cancer services improvement networks. We deliver strategic cancer services improvement aligned with the Victorian Cancer Plan, VICS Implementation Plan, Optimal Care Pathways, and local priorities. Our team delivers excellence, innovation, collaboration, and initiatives with impact. Our program utilises evidence, data, and co-design to deliver innovative cancer services improvement.

NEMICS is hosted by Austin Health and our members organisations include Austin Health, Eastern Health, Mercy Hospital for Women, and Northern Health. About the role

Are you passionate about improving the cancer service system, delivering cancer policy and projects, collaborating with world-class cancer clinicians and cancer leaders, achieving excellence in cancer patient experience and outcomes? A rewarding opportunity exists for a motivated, collaborative, and highly organised health professional as the NEMICS Project Manager, with a health service and region focused.

As the NEMICS Project Manager, you will be responsible for cancer services improvement projects and practice development. Cancer service improvement focus areas include multidisciplinary care, supportive are, reducing variation against the Optimal Cancer Pathways, survivorship care, priority populations, and other Victorian Cancer Plan priorities. In this role, you will also focus on Mercy Hospital for Women and health equity.

About you

To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:

• Tertiary qualification in health with more than three years of experience cancer services and hospitals.
• A post graduate qualification (or working towards) in health services management, public health, health policy or project management.
• Highly experienced in project management at health service and/or health system level, including project report writing and/or publications.
• Experience in health record audit, data collection, management, analysis, and reporting.
• High-level organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and achieve performance targets.
• Demonstrated proficiency with information technology, including Microsoft Office suite.
