We're investing heavily in our people, facilities, and technology — including a new Bystronic press brake — as we expand production capacity and take on larger, more complex projects across Australia.

The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Production Manager – Fabrication to lead and optimise all fabrication operations across both Ultralift and Westberg.

You'll oversee laser cutting, folding, linishing, welding, and machining, driving throughput, quality, and efficiency in a hands-on, safety-focused environment.

This is a pivotal leadership role for a disciplined, floor-present manager who thrives on structure, accountability, and continuous improvement. You'll lead a skilled team and help shape the next phase of operational growth for two fast-growing Australian manufacturing brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 10+ fabrication specialists across both businesses
  • Drive efficiency, throughput, and reduced lead times
  • Maintain the highest safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
  • Oversee daily workflow, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with the GM, Engineering Lead, and Sales teams to align capacity with project timelines
  • Implement process improvements and support the shift to dual operations
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and problem-solving on the floor
About You
  • Experienced in metal fabrication - essential
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with a hands-on approach
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and execute daily production schedules
