The opportunity

Join a highly successful construction business as Finance Manager, owning the day-to-day finance engine and partnering with the leadership team on cash flow, project funding and monthly performance. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, tightening controls, and producing reliable numbers that decision-makers can trust.

What you'll do

  • Own end-to-end AP/AR processing, reconciliations and approvals
  • Manage daily, weekly and monthly cash flow, including forecasting and cash flow reporting
  • Prepare month-end journals, accruals and balance sheet recs; produce monthly management reports vs budget
  • Partner with project teams on job cost tracking, variations, and WIP reporting
  • Support external Financiers on project funding, documentation and drawdowns
  • Build and refine finance processes, controls and calendars for accuracy and speed
  • Liaise with external accountants/auditors as required; maintain compliance registers
  • Help implement improvements across systems, reporting and dashboards

What you'll bring

  • Solid experience in a hands-on Finance Manager, Senior Accountant or Company Accountant role
  • Proven competency across AP/AR, cash flow management and month-end reporting
  • Confidence in preparing management accounts and explaining variances to non-finance leaders
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort with modern accounting/ERP systems
  • Clear, proactive communication style and a bias for getting things done
  • Construction or project-based industry experience is advantageous
  • CA/CPA qualified or working toward is preferred (or equivalent experience)
