Job Summary

The Grill Chef is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality grilled dishes to perfection. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to our exacting standards and delivered in a timely manner. The Grill Chef will also contribute to menu development and maintain a clean and organised kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

Grill Cooking:

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes, including meats, poultry, seafood, and vegetables.

Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and consistency, following restaurant recipes and standards.

Monitor and maintain grill equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Food Preparation:

Assist in the preparation and seasoning of ingredients for grilling.

Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation.

Maintain high standards of food presentation and garnishing.

Kitchen Operations:

Ensure a clean and organised work area, following all health and safety regulations.

Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.

Assist in the training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff.

Menu Development:

Contribute to the creation and refinement of grill menu items.

Experiment with new recipes and techniques to enhance the dining experience.

Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into the menu.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.

Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure accurate and timely order delivery.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience as a Grill Chef or in a similar role.

Extensive knowledge of grilling techniques and equipment.

Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety.

Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
