Band 6 - $89,780 - $97,724 yearly, plus 12% statutory superannuation

our Team Leader Payroll Bring your payroll expertise to lead a small team in
delivering essential payroll processing, systems management and report
creation.

What your day will look like

As our Team Leader Payroll you will:

• Use your knowledge of Awards and Agreements to coordinate Council's
  fortnightly payroll and deliver accurate and timely payroll services.
• Provide high quality customer service to Council staff, responding to
  queries on payroll matters and providing support for staff accessing the
  employee kiosk.
• Maintain employee records in payroll and data storage systems in line
  with best practice and audit requirements.
• Prepare reports in-line with Council and legislative requirements.

About You

Our ideal candidate is someone who is:

• Experienced in managing end-to-end payroll operations with strong organisational skills and accuracy.
• Extensive knowledge of payroll processes, Enterprise Agreements, Awards, and industrial relations.
• Skilled in interpreting and applying Fair Work and Local Government employment legislation.
• Proficient in payroll systems and data management for efficient reporting and compliance.
• Clear communicator who builds positive relationships and delivers proactive, high-quality service.
• Capable leader who supports a small team to meet deadlines and achieve shared goals.
