The Opportunity
We're looking for a People & Culture Advisor to join our ANZ team, reporting to the People & Culture Manager. Based in Brisbane, you'll support our leaders and employees across Australia on a wide range of day-to-day HR matters, with a particular focus on employee and industrial relations (ER/IR). You'll also provide support to the NZ team where ER issues arise, giving you exposure across both countries.
This role is a great opportunity to grow your HR career in a supportive environment while making a direct impact in a business that is powering the renewable energy transition.
What You'll Do
- Be the first point of contact for People & Culture queries in Australia.
- Provide practical advice on ER/IR matters including performance management, and investigations.
- Support managers with interpreting and applying the Fair Work Act, EBAs, and modern awards.
- Assist with policy and contract updates to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Support People & Culture activities across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, HRIS updates, and offboarding.
- Provide general HR support to the NZ team, particularly for ER-related issues.
- Contribute to wellbeing, engagement, and learning initiatives as needed.
What You'll Bring
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or equivalent experience.
- Solid experience in HR/People & Culture, with a strong focus on ER/IR in Australia.
- Working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, modern awards, and workplace compliance.
- Confidence managing ER issues such as investigations, or disputes.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and provide clear, practical advice.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to construction, engineering, or renewable energy industries.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and reporting tools.
- Experience supporting wellbeing or learning & development initiatives.
