About the role

Aletek is a well-established partner to many open-cut and underground mines across Australia. We manufacture thermal insulation blankets and dual-wall exhaust systems to help mines prevent fires on their mobile machinery, as well as diesel particulate filters for machinery in underground mines to help provide "cleaner air underground" for the health and wellbeing of the miners.

This exciting role is to manage, retain, and grow a portfolio of specific Tier 1 client accounts across the East Coast. The Client Manager will be the day-to-day face of Aletek for these customers, responsible for deepening relationships, driving growth opportunities, and ensuring consistent delivery of value. The role will be based in Queensland (Brisbane or Mackay), with frequent travel to mine sites and their respective corporate offices.


What you will do in the role
  • Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with key stakeholders in assigned client accounts.
  • Report progress and align activities with the relevant Key Account Manager to support execution of the overarching Key Account Plan.
  • Identify and develop growth opportunities within assigned accounts through structured account planning and consultative engagement.
  • Arrange and facilitate face-to-face meetings with clients to strengthen partnerships and uncover new opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities across your account portfolio.
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and presentations in conjunction with the internal sales team.
  • Manage communication between clients and internal operations, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Provide regular reporting on account performance, risks, and opportunities.

  • Experienced working with BHP/BMA and/or other Tier 1 miners (highly desirable).
  • Proven in account management, business development, or client services (mining/heavy industry desirable).
