About the role

Dr Christy Graff is seeking a part time medical receptionist to join the team, working for 1-2 days a week initially. This is a part time role, providing you with the flexibility to work around your other commitments. As a medical receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, playing a vital role in ensuring a smooth, professional and friendly experience for all who visit the practice.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting and welcoming patients as they arrive at the practice
  • Scheduling and managing patient appointments, including booking, rescheduling and cancellations
  • Taking payment for appointments and liaising with Dr Graff's PA for billing practices
  • Handling phone inquiries from patients and other healthcare providers
  • Assisting with general administrative duties as required and reporting to Dr Graff and her PA
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service and confidentiality at all times

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a medical reception or customer service role
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferably proficient in using medical software (Gentu) and Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of medical terminology and confidentiality practices
