Human Resouces & Operations Manager full time role in our CBD office.

Opportunity

We have an excellent opportunity for an individual with well-rounded, general human resources experience, in legal or professional services, to step into this newly created role. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity and desire to become involved in operations, working with our team onsite in our Sydney CBD office.

Bridges Lawyers has enjoyed an extended, robust growth period and we are ready to underpin our HR and operational structure with a great candidate who will contribute to further moving our firm forward. The successful candidate will work closely with our General Manager and be exposed to all aspects of running a successful legal practice.

Core functions and responsibilities will be:

  • Working collaboratively with the Partners, General Manager, Finance Manager and Office Manager to maintain a positive and engaging work environment.

  • Underpin our recruitment process to ensure business requirements are met.

  • Support and further develop staff onboarding process.

  • Ongoing development and maintenance of internal policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrate an interest and understanding of productivity measurements combined with an ability to contribute value through the culture and fun in our work environment.

  • Identify and recommend sensible operational improvements and thereafter assist with implementation.

  • Beyond the day-to-day HR functions, work with our General Manager on selected projects which may include: Intranet development, Policy and Procedure development, AI advancements in legal, AML risk and compliance procedures to be introduced, premises and facilities assessment and review, assessing fit for purpose software programmes.

The role is varied and allocation of responsibilities will be aligned to the candidate's experience, strengths and desire to upskill across operational functions.

Essential Requirements

  • 2-3 years working in Human Resources in a professional services firm

  • Professional presentation

  • Clear and engaging communication skills, written and verbal

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Skilled and happy to work with and support individuals at all levels

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture

  • Flexible approach, willingness to step out of your comfort zone

  • Positive, can-do style

  • Available to work onsite in our Sydney CBD office
