The
Senior Policy Officer
will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of training related policies within the College and aligning it to best practice. This position plays a pivotal role aligning our training related policies to the organisation goals and regulatory frameworks, ensuring best practice advice is adhered to; while working collaboratively across teams, and driving stakeholder engagement.

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) is a purpose-driven organisation that exists to support specialist doctors in clinical radiology and radiation oncology across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

Job requirements:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Policy Officer at RANZCR to shape our policy direction through innovation and enhancing the trainee experience.
- Take ownership of all College training related policies, and develop, review and update them to align with the college's long term strategic plans.
- Manage the trainee policy application process, end to end, ensuring alignment to process and policy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure training policies are contemporary and fit for purpose.
- Provide high level policy advice to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee and manage the trainee policy application process, end to end, ensuring to alignment of process to policy.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Highly developed written communication skills with the proven ability to develop and write policy and address different contexts.
- Hands-on expertise working independently within a complex, legal environment and framework.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align multiple stakeholders.
- Organised and proactive, able to design and embed processes while managing multiple programs.
- A degree in law or legal qualification or related field and / or equivalent relevant work experience would be highly desirable.
