As such, we are seeking a disciplined private-sector delivery expertise, that brings safety maturity, proactive community engagement, and on-time, on-budget execution. This portfolio requires multi-front commercial know-how, spanning every state, with global contracts at the other end. Be prepared for hard, decisive action, as stranded assets are not part of the plan.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects (Solar &BESS).
- Manage project execution, scope, schedule, budget, and construction risks.
- Drive contract negotiations and oversee compliance with EPC, grid, lease, and supplier agreements.
- Manage claims and variations, change management assessment and approvals.
- Lead and manage payment claim assessment including site verifications etc.
- Lead cross-functional teams including HSE, legal, and engineering.
- Oversee contractors and subcontractors during construction.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance project performance.
- Ensure quality control, regulatory compliance, and safety standards are met.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders including contractors, suppliers, local communities, and government bodies.
- Provide regular updates on milestones, risks, and performance metrics.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience delivering at least one large-scale utility project in Australia from contract negotiation through to completion stage.
- Strong leadership and team management skills across multiple projects.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Expert skills in project management and risk mitigation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Office Suite.
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
- Willingness to be site-based
