Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Class 1 residential projects from construction through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Oversee contractors, consultants, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor construction progress, budgets, and schedules, resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the development team on early-stage DA and CC projects.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to senior management.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and legal obligations.
  • Support the delivery of apartment and house & land (H&L) projects, including exposure to DA and CC stages.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction management, ideally within residential developments.
  • Strong understanding of the construction process, project scheduling, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Experience managing contractors and liaising with stakeholders.
  • Property development experience (DA, CC stages) is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Class 2 residential buildings (multi-storey apartment buildings)
  • White Card certification (mandatory)
  • Administer head contracts and subcontracts in accordance with Australian Standards
  • Engage accredited certifiers, surveyors, and utility authorities to secure timely approvals and inspections
  • Monitor EHS performance, conducting site audits in line with SafeWork NSW requirements

Australia Specific Requirements:

  • Ensure compliance with NCC, SEPP, BASIX, Green Star, and WHS standards throughout construction
  • Adhere to Development Approvals (DA), Construction Certificates (CC), and environmental management plans
  • Monitor subcontractors in compliance with Fair Work Act
