About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Desktop Support Specialist to join our team in Sydney. This is a full-time, onsite role providing hands-on IT support to end-users across Windows and macOS environments. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, onboarding new staff, and ensuring end-users have a smooth technology experience from day one.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 1 & 2 technical support for desktops, laptops (Windows and Mac), mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Support and troubleshoot macOS environments, including configuration, updates, and application support.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Manage new user onboarding:

  • Set up accounts, email, Teams, and security permissions.

  • Prepare and provision laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
  • Deliver IT orientation and first-day support.
  • Administer Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD) accounts, groups, and access rights.
  • Troubleshoot incidents related to printers, network connectivity, VPNs, and collaboration tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and IT assets in the ITSM/ticketing system.
  • Provide support for video conferencing, meeting rooms, and AV setups.
  • Participate in IT improvement projects, such as device refresh and office infrastructure upgrades.
Skills & Experience
  • 2+ years' experience in desktop or IT support roles.
  • Strong experience with both Windows and macOS environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and basic networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
  • Experience in onboarding users and device provisioning.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service orientation.
  • ITIL experience or ticketing system knowledge preferred.
Qualifications
  • Certificate/Diploma in Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft, Apple, CompTIA, or ITIL certifications desirable but not mandatory.
