A dynamic Federal Government Department is seeking to engage a skilled Desktop Support Team Lead to oversee and mentor a busy and high-performing IT Desktop Support team. This leadership role is crucial to supporting day-to-day onsite IT Business As Usual (BAU) services while ensuring high-quality customer outcomes across multiple sites.

The successful Desktop Support Team Lead will be offered:


• An initial 6-month contract with 2 x 6 month extensions


• Opportunities to lead ICT service delivery improvements


• Exposure to a high-profile Federal Government IT environment

The successful Desktop Support Team Lead will be responsible for, but not limited to:


• Leading and mentoring Desktop Support Officers to build technical capability


• Overseeing incident tickets, service requests, and team task allocation


• Providing hands-on Level 2 support across hardware, software, and video-conferencing systems


• Collaborating with ICT infrastructure teams and vendors to resolve escalated issues

The successful Desktop Support Team Lead will have experience in the following:


• Proven background in leading and coaching a technical support team


• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills


• Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as Ivanti or similar


• Technical support expertise within a Windows-based ICT environment
