Under the leadership of the newly appointed Chief People Officer, Hume Bank is building a modern, forward-looking People & Culture model that supports its strategic priorities and fosters an exceptional employee experience.

We are leading the recruitment for several pivotal roles in this next phase of growth:

  • Head of People and Culture
  • Head of Learning and Capability
  • Talent Acquisition Business Partner
  • Culture, Engagement & Internal Communications Advisor

These positions offer the opportunity to shape the future of a purpose-driven organisation where leadership, culture and strategic change are central to success.

About the Role

As Talent Acquisition Business Partner, you'll play a key role in building the future workforce of Hume Bank. Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, you'll deliver end-to-end recruitment, develop proactive sourcing strategies and provide expert advice on workforce planning, talent pipelines and employer branding.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, influencing outcomes and delivering results with both speed and precision. You'll be trusted to own the process from strategy to onboarding, ensuring every new hire enhances capability and culture across the organisation.

In your first months, you will:

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for a variety of corporate, customer-facing and specialist roles
  • Partner with leaders to define workforce needs and design recruitment strategies that attract high-calibre candidates
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical or recurring roles
  • Lead employer brand initiatives that showcase Hume Bank as an employer of choice in regional banking
  • Analyse recruitment metrics and provide actionable insights to improve efficiency and candidate experience
  • Coordinate onboarding, induction and pre-employment compliance processes

This position offers scope and autonomy - a chance to combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a supportive, evolving HR team.

Skills We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end recruitment or talent acquisition, ideally in corporate or financial services
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills
  • Ability to design and deliver sourcing strategies that balance quality and speed
  • Excellent communication, influencing and time-management skills
  • Familiarity with ATS platforms and a data-driven approach to reporting and analytics
  • Commercial acumen and adaptability in a private-sector environment
  • Strong capability, resilience and agility to work autonomously and collaboratively within a small, high-performing team
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word due to high reporting requirements

Working at Hume Bank

Hume Bank is a regional success story with a proud heritage and a bold future. As the Bank modernises and expands, its People & Culture team is at the forefront of that change - partnering with leaders to create a workplace where people can thrive.

You'll join a collaborative team that values initiative, innovation and professionalism. Your contribution will directly influence the Bank's ability to attract and retain exceptional talent, ensuring the organisation continues to grow its reputation as an employer of choice.

This is a genuine opportunity to shape recruitment strategy and elevate the talent experience across a respected regional financial institution.
