The Brisbane Produce Market is Queensland's only central fruit and vegetable market, and the state's most important centre for the wholesale marketing and distribution of fresh fruit and vegetables.  It records an annual trade in excess of 700 million kilograms of produce valued at more than $2 billion.

As a representative of these employers, Brismark is currently searching for a suitably experienced Accounts/Administration Assistant for a respected wholesaler within the Brisbane Markets.

What you'll be doing

  • Processing and recording financial transactions, including invoicing, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Maintaining and reconciling financial records and accounts.
  • Providing general administrative support, such as filing, data entry and responding to inquiries.
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Collaborating with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • Relevant administrative or accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
