Infront Security is a leading security firm, providing manpower solutions to many different government agencies and businesses across a number of industries around Queensland. An opportunity exists to join this dynamic company as a part-time Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper (25 hours per week across 5 days) who will become an instrumental and valued team member at our Rocklea office.

The role would suit applicants looking to work school-friendly hours.

Your Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your duties and responsibilities will include:

· General ledger reconciliations across multiple group entities

· Checking coding of accounts payable and accounts receivable

· Preparation and posting of journal entries

· Inter-entity transactions and reconciliations

· Preparation of group trial balances and draft monthly accounts

· Preparation of materials to support periodic and annual audits

· Assist with the submission and lodgment of compliance returns (e.g. payroll tax, PAYG, BAS, FBT)

· Act as back-up for accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll (after training)

· Assist the Finance team and wider group with adhoc duties

To be successful in this position we are seeking candidates who can demonstrate the following:

· 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role

· Cert IV in bookkeeping or accounting or more advanced degree qualifications (desired)

· Experience with multi-entity group accounting

· Experience within a labour hire or security services environment (desired)

· Good personal presentation with a mature and confident personality

· A positive attitude and a willingness to learn

· Methodical and process driven, with strong attention to detail

· An ability to multi-task

· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)

· Able to demonstrate initiative, flexibility and the ability to get the job done efficiently and accurately

· Experience with PowerBI, Xero, Human Force and Time Target is highly desirable

· A positive work ethic and ability to work well both in a team and on your own.
