A government department based in Brisbane CBD is seeking an AO3 Payroll Officer to assist with high-volume payroll processing.

Your new role

You will support the payroll team in clearing a backlog of transactions, working within a structured fortnightly cycle. Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing leave, higher duties, increments, and timesheets:
  • Week 1: Leave, higher duties, increments
  • Week 2: Timesheets for the pay run
  • Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across all payroll functions

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 6 months' experience in a high-volume data entry or payroll processing environment
  • Experience using Aurion or similar large payroll systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience withinn a Queensland Government department is not required
