We are working with a QLD Govt Dept to source a suitably experienced Project Support Officer (AO3) to join their team, working on a large infrastructure project.  This is a 12-month contract role based in the Brisbane CBD with some WFH flexibility.  In the role of Project Support Officer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the day-to-day administrative operations of the project team, ensuring the provision of professional, timely and confidential administrative support.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the Senior Advisor (Project Assurance) by assisting with the management of internal and external enquiries, helping to ensure oversight, timely and accurate responses, and contributing to day-to-day diary management for the Project Director
  • Arrange team meetings and handle meeting papers. You will provide input and prepare meeting documents for distribution whilst establishing and maintaining systems and processes.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks for the project, ensuring public sector standards of governance are met. This includes responsibility for minor HR and procurement activities, as well as participating in and assisting with development initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including the general public, industry, senior executives and divisional staff on a variety of issues

About you

  • Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
  • A current Class 'C' Drivers Licence (desirable)
  • Experience working on a major infrastructure project environment
  • Project administration experience and skills
