Technical Sales Engineer – Solar & Renewable Energy

Location: Brisbane or QLD

Overview

We are seeking a driven and technically minded
Technical Sales Engineer
to join our growing renewables team. The successful candidate will combine engineering expertise with strong commercial acumen to deliver tailored solar and renewable energy solutions to clients across Australia. Working closely with Account Managers, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue, supporting product adoption, and ensuring our customers receive exceptional technical and commercial service.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in
    Civil, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering
    (or related discipline)
  • Additional certifications in renewable energy systems, solar design, or project management will be highly regarded

Experience

  • Minimum 2
    years' experience
    in
    solar, renewables, or technical sales
    environments
  • Proven success in
    solution design, technical consulting, or project engineering
    within the renewable energy sector
  • Familiarity with
    solar mounting systems, inverter technologies, and renewable design principles

Core Skills

  • Strong understanding of
    solution design
    and
    solar mounting principles
  • Excellent
    presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in
    project management, CRM tracking, and pipeline reporting
  • Logical
    problem-solving
    approach with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer value
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, sales, and marketing teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue targets
    in collaboration with the assigned Account Manager
  • Engage with distributors and installers
    , managing existing relationships while identifying and acquiring new partners
  • Design and propose technical solutions
    , preparing accurate project quotations and documentation
  • Support sales initiatives
    through technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer training sessions
  • Deliver product updates
    and provide
    market insights
    in collaboration with Account Management and Marketing
  • Maintain CRM accuracy
    by tracking pipeline activity, client interactions, and project milestones
  • Provide feedback to R&D
    and Product Management teams based on customer needs and market trends
  • Stay up to date with
    industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies
    in renewable energy
