Our busy and growing venue is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Trade Qualified Chef to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes using your knowledge and expertise in modern Australian cuisine.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
  • Monitor food stock levels and order supplies as necessary
  • Assist in the development of new menu items
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen station
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and freshness
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff as required
  • Requirements:

  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

  • Proven experience as a Cook in a busy restaurant or catering environment

  • Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment and food safety regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistency in the quality of food prepared
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for the culinary arts and a desire to continually learn and develop new skills
