District IPAC Team based at RNSH
What you'll be doing
The Operations Manager, IPAC provides leadership and support to members of the IPAC Service across the District under the guidance of the IPAC Director. The role works collaboratively with clinicians and department managers across NSLHD to promote best practice in the prevention, management and control of healthcare associated infections and communicable diseases. This position reports to the Director IPAC, NSLHD to coordinate and facilitate an effective IPAC program.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current Nursing Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Tertiary qualification (Masters level), relevant to the specialty discipline and substantial IPAC experience in an acute tertiary healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated ability to project manage and meet deadlines, and commitment to quality improvement in line with the National Safety and Quality Health Standards (Standard 3).
- Extensive infection, prevention and control knowledge from a clinical and management perspective.
