Job Description:

The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in supporting a team tasked with transitioning Australian guidelines for infection prevention and control. The position requires a high level of organization, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the team in the transition of Australian guidelines for infection prevention and control by providing administrative assistance and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Undertake various project management activities, including procurement, contract management, budget preparation, report writing, briefings, and document preparation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide secretariat support for commission committees and working groups, arranging meetings, forums, and workshops as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to create and update resources for internal and external audiences, ensuring consistency across all materials.
  • Contribute to project planning, documentation, monitoring, and reporting on progress, identifying problems, and proposing solutions.
  • Work closely with the team to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with national and state authorities, professional organizations, individuals, government and non-government organizations, and other teams within the commission.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes quickly.
