About the Opportunity

Supporting the dance department, this role is responsible for effectively providing a broad range of administrative roles, functions and services to School staff and operations. This position reports to the Academic Services Coordinator and will work closely with the Head of Dance, the Associate Dean of the Discipline as well as other School Officers and WAAPA staff. School Officers may rotate between disciplines depending on business need.

This position will suit a confident individual who is self-motivated, thrives on working in a busy and complex work environment and who can work well independently and as part of a larger School support team

We are seeking an experienced, proactive and motivated professional, with excellent administrative skills to support a broad range of administrative processes that contribute to the day-to-day functioning of WAAPA.

About you

To be successful you will have experience in a similar role and will be able to demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

Strong organisational and record keeping skills.

Exceptional attention to detail.

Strong computer literacy.

The ability to work under pressure and contend with competing deadlines.

Interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop good relationships and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Experience in the higher education sector as well as scheduling experience would be advantageous.

You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.
