Perth Waldorf School invites applications for an Executive Assistant to the Head of Primary School (0.8FTE – 4 days per week or as negotiated) Commencing ASAP

We are seeking an enthusiastic Executive Assistant to join our school. Your focus will be on supporting our Head of Primary to ensure the smooth running of the primary school. There are 170 pupils and approximately 25 staff. Also, you may assist the school administration in a variety of projects and other tasks.

The successful applicant will have the following:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse community of students, parents and staff members.
  • Strong organisational, time management and administrative skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to manage communication, outside school hours, to ensure relief staff are in place. This is compensated by time in lieu.
  • A proactive work ethic, demonstrated initiative and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently, as well as in a team, while also demonstrating leadership.
  • The ability to take direction from the Head of Primary School and other leadership staff, as well as complement their skills.
  • A positive "can-do" attitude at all times.
  • Must be proficient in Office 365, able to navigate new software. A knowledge of student management systems such as Sentral would be a plus but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a School would be advantageous.
  • A willingness to learn more about Steiner Education and Anthroposophy is vital.

The school is located in a bushland setting in the southern suburbs of Perth (approx. 20 minutes from the CBD). We provide a full Steiner curriculum from Playgroup to Class 12. We also have a separate campus being developed for Class 7 to 12 in Parkerville.

You would be working in a positive and friendly environment, with supportive staff. Working during school holidays or using that time for annual leave, is expected.
