The Opportunity
Future Fund are seeking a strategic Senior Manager to join the office of our Chief Operating Officer (COO), supporting the Data, Operations & Technology (DOT) Group with strategic thought leadership and execution.
In this role, you will work across all elements of the strategy management lifecycle from formulation to execution for the DOT Group, and for the COO Office. Aligned with the purpose of the COO Office, the role will drive strategy thinking, business planning and operating model design as well as perform capability enablement and operational business management activities in support of the DOT Group. Working closely with senior leadership, you will apply expertise in working across all elements of the strategy management lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
Lead and support all elements of strategy planning, implementation, and ongoing evaluation for the DOT Group, ensuring alignment with agency-wide objectives.
Collaborate with the COO, Head of Strategy, DOT Leadership Team, and other stakeholders to optimise assurance, oversight, advisory, and support capabilities.
Coordinate and oversee the annual business planning process, including budget setting, workforce planning, and strategic initiatives.
Develop, maintain, and implement operating model frameworks, tools, and capability models to support strategic decision-making.
Conduct detailed market research and benchmarking, synthesising insights to inform DOT strategy and foster peer networking and market engagement.
Deliver operational performance analysis, management reporting, and dashboard implementation for senior leaders, CEO, and the Board.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of business management and governance forums, policies, frameworks, and methodologies.
About You
A qualified and experienced professional with relevant experience in strategy management, business architecture, or business performance, ideally within financial services, investment management, or consulting. We will also consider manager level candidates for this role.
Demonstrated experience at a top-tier global consulting firms and/or in a similar strategy-focused role at a financial institution.
Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills, with a passion for solving complex business problems and delivering meaningful insights.
Proven ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including executive and middle management, and to communicate complex ideas clearly in both written and verbal forms.
Experience developing and maintaining frameworks, methodologies, and tools underpinning strategy management, business planning, and operating model management.
Composed and adaptable, with excellent interpersonal, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
Innovative, outcome-focused, and comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity in a busy, evolving environment.
Experience gained from working overseas is highly regarded.
