The role & team

Our vibrant, energetic and supportive Internal Communications team is looking for a Senior Communications Manager to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Head of Communications to develop and oversee internal communication strategies, events, and initiatives that inform, engage, and inspire Partners, Support Office colleagues, and store teams across ANZ. In this role, you will guide the internal communications agenda, driving content planning and delivering high-impact communications.

You will collaborate with senior leaders, stakeholders, Communications Managers, and our Design team to shape messaging and implement effective communication strategies, while continuously monitoring and refining initiatives to maximise engagement and impact.

At Specsavers, we believe in adopting a hybrid approach to support our people and the future of work. When not working from an alternative location, the Senior Communications Manager will be based at our support office in Port Melbourne.

The skills we are looking for

  • Proven experience in a senior internal communications role with accountability for delivering effective communications, whether or not in a formal people management role.
  • Extensive experience in developing, proposing and implementing end-to-end communication strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build strategic working relationships with a diverse range of senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously, make informed decisions and take initiative.
  • Sound judgement, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure in a high-demand environment.
  • A background in building intranet strategies and proficiency with content management systems, including SharePoint, is highly regarded.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage change effectively.
