What you will be doing

As a Loader/Foreman you will be responsible for the below duties:

  • Review loads prepared by night shift and prioritise those requiring completion based on truck arrivals
  • Ensure the first loads are dispatched on time, then oversee preparation and completion of subsequent loads
  • Coordinate with different areas to ensure steel is moved to the correct location for loading
  • Work "hands-on" alongside overhead crane and forklift operators to pick and load steel orders
  • Use RF Scanning and PLC workstations to interpret loading and production requirements
  • Conduct pre-start checks on all plant and equipment
  • Maintain a strong focus on safe loading and workplace procedures

What you will need

To be successful in this role you will need to have the below:

  • QLD High Risk Forklift Licence
  • Current Driver Licence
  • Experience in team leadership or supervisory roles
  • Gantry crane experience – Must have
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team
