About Us:
Skerman Civil is a leading civil construction company based in Brisbane, specialising in infrastructure projects including roadworks, earthworks, and urban development. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality work across a range of construction projects throughout Queensland. Due to ongoing growth, we are looking for experienced Truck Drivers to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy combination (HC) trucks to transport materials such as soil, gravel, and equipment to and from construction sites as well as operate water carts across projects.
- Safely load and unload construction materials and plant.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and compliance requirements on site and during transport.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, ensuring proper maintenance of trucks.
- Work collaboratively with site foreman, machine operators, and other team members.
- Assist with general laboring duties as required during downtime.
Requirements:
- Valid HC Truck License.
- Previous experience driving in a civil construction environment is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of Brisbane and surrounding areas.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks including tipper trucks and water carts.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
- Good communication skills and a team player attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions.
