Your Opportunity

We have an exciting Casual Studio Tachnician position available to join our Education, Land Management & The Arts team at TAFE Queensland's Cairns Campus.

As the Studio Technician you will be responsible for providing technical support to teaching teams within Visual and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts and contribute to the operation of the organisation's art and ceramic studios to enable them to be used productively and effectively and in accordance with legislative requirements by a variety of class groups.

This position reports to the Business Manager - Education, Land Management & The Arts.

Salary

The salary range for this position at the Casual OO2 classification is $ $40.73 (gross) per hour.

How you will be assessed

The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

1. A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of working in an art studio space.
2. Knowledge of Work, Health and Safety legislation and Australian Standards as they apply in a studio environment.
3. Knowledge of the use and maintenance requirements of equipment and instruments used in art and ceramic studios.
4. Proven ability to work as part of a team while remaining flexible and adaptable to organise and prioritise own workload and apply well developed organisational skills to tasks or projects.
5. High level of communication and client service skills to work collaboratively with stakeholders and colleagues to achieve outstanding client service.
