Administration and Accounts Officer

Beltech Engineering, a leader in providing engineering, fabrication, and maintenance solutions to the mining, mineral processing, and various industries, is expanding its team. Operating across Australia with a presence in South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland, and the Northern Territory, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Administration and Accounts Officer to join our Brisbane office. Key Responsibilities:

Administration Duties:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, employees, and visitors, maintaining high-quality customer service
  • Manage training records and ticket/license expiries.
  • Ensure timely completion of site access requirements.
  • Update Crew Rosters and handle Leave Requests.
  • Coordinate crew mobilisation and demobilisation from various sites nationally.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee information in relevant systems.
  • General administration duties

Accounts Officer Duties:

  • Manage fortnightly payroll processing, including deductions, superannuation elections, leave, and onboarding of new starters.
  • Prepare Invoice Summaries for client invoicing and compile supporting documents.
  • Champion the accounting system, collaborate with our appointed Accounting firm to enhance efficiency.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks, including calculations for salary, superannuation, leave, and preparation of Monthly Payroll Summary.
  • Develop and manage profit and loss statements per project.
Essential Skills & Attributes:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in administration, accounts, or payroll
  • Staff management experience, especially in crew onboarding, mobilisation, and demobilisation - desirable
  • Previous experience in a FIFO travel reservation environment highly regarded.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High attention to detail, multitasking ability, and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in accounts administration within a mining/construction/engineering environment (advantageous).
  • Proficiency in MYOB or a demonstrated ability/interest to autonomously learn and develop accounting systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Suite skills, especially in Excel.
  • Current Driver's License.
