We are seeking an Accounts Officer to support the Finance team with accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and administrative functions. This is a great opportunity for a recent Accounting Graduate or someone with a passion for numbers, to kick start your accounting career and contribute to our growing finance team.

Key responsibilities

  • Process daily AR transactions such as posting of receipts, reconciling accounts, follow up debts and processing new account application
  • Liaising with internal/external clients regarding account queries
  • Maintain and process supplier invoices, credits, and adjustments
  • Maintain and control Vendor database to ensure accuracy and correct payment terms
  • Control the release of payments to local and overseas suppliers
  • Maintain and control the processing of staff expense reimbursements, credit card transactions and vehicle operating costs
  • Maintain data accuracy

About you

  • Understanding and application of basic principles and techniques of accounting
  • Recently completed tertiary studies in Accounting (highly regarded)
  • 2years experience in a customer service role.
  • Demonstrated high level of attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, handle competing priorities, meet deadlines, and manage activities through to completion
  • Ability to work in a team and individually
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Suite
