The Role

We're looking for an experienced Climbing Arborist / Team Leader to lead one of our crews. This is a hands-on role where you'll set the standard in safe climbing practice, oversee daily operations, and help mentor and develop your crew.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a small team on site.
  • Perform advanced climbing and rigging operations in line with AS-4373 Pruning Standards.
  • Operate and maintain trucks, chippers, and EWPs (MR/HR licence highly regarded).
  • Maintain and troubleshoot daily-use equipment (chainsaws, rigging gear, blowers, and other tools).
  • Actively participate in toolbox talks
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently, following company SWMS, SOPs, and HSEQ systems.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, supervisors, and team members.
  • Assist with pre-start checks and daily reporting as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Climbing Arborist (Cert III Arboriculture or equivalent).
  • Strong climbing and rigging skills, with proven leadership ability.
  • Good mechanical knowledge and ability to maintain standard arborist equipment.
  • Current White Card and First Aid.
  • MR or HR truck licence (desirable but not essential).
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and team culture.
  • Reliable, professional, and able to represent the company on site.
