About the Role

The Premier's Department is seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate, Secretariat and Coordination to join the Investment Delivery Authority (IDA) - a newly established entity supporting major private sector projects valued at over $1 billion and driving system-wide reforms to enhance competition and productivity in NSW.

As our Senior Associate, Secretariat and Coordination, you'll play a pivotal role providing strategic project, governance, operational and secretariat support for the IDA. In this role you'll manage and coordinate high-impact projects, provide high-quality advice and analysis to senior executives and government decision-makers, and ensure robust governance and operational frameworks are in place. The Senior Associate will need to be highly organised and have a high attention to detail.

Working within the Secretariat and Coordination team in the Investment Delivery Authority within Investment NSW, you'll collaborate closely with key stakeholders across government and industry to address barriers to investment and support a whole-of-government approach to economic growth. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of government on complex, high-profile initiatives that shape NSW's investment landscape.

  • Strategic Leadership: Proven experience leading complex projects and providing strategic advice in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment
  • Policy and Governance Expertise: Strong understanding of government operations, governance frameworks, and the machinery of government
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to critically analyse complex and politically sensitive issues to develop evidence-based recommendations
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled at building trusted relationships and influencing senior stakeholders across government and industry
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, with experience preparing high-level briefs, submissions and correspondence
  • Adaptability: Confidence in managing competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and a focus on quality outcomes.
