We are actively seeking a commercially minded, professional and engaging Senior Associate to join the high-performing Sydney based team of our APAC Executive Search practice.

The Role
The role of Senior Associate within our firm is challenging, diverse and intellectually stimulating. The successful individual will directly support one of our tenured Managing Directors in consort with a collaborative wider team of Associates, Research and Search Coordinators.
The Senior Associate role is highly visible both internally and externally and will be pivotal in driving all aspects of the search process, managing the execution and direction of research; search strategy development; position specification development; headhunting and candidate development; candidate interviewing, evaluation, and presentation. An integral part of this role is relationship management with both clients and candidates, including an inherent ability to build strong relationships with senior executives, assessing them against the client's requirements.
Further specific responsibilities of the role will include:
- Project management of search mandates from taking the brief to shortlist presentation.
- Create the search positioning strategy in collaboration with the wider execution team.
- Identify prospective candidates through targeted company research, market mapping, industry sources, relevant prior searches, and internal sources.
- Conduct industry-specific research from primary and secondary sources; actively question to gather information from the client, Managing Director, and marketplace to gain a comprehensive understanding of the industry, business situation and the position requirements.
- Write detailed position descriptions and marketing materials to promote the opportunity to prospective candidates.
- Write position advertisements when necessary.
- Proactively approach prospects utilising various channels including cold calling to entice them to consider new opportunities.
- Conduct in-depth phone screening to pre-qualify prospective candidates according to the client's requirements to create a longlist.
- Calibrate candidates with the client to further test and hone the search parameters.
- Conduct in-depth face-to-face interviews to evaluate prospective candidates against key functional and behavioural competencies.
- Maintain progress, status, and market feedback reports for presentation to the Managing Director as well as to the Client.
- Write candidate reports for presentation to the client with the shortlisted candidates.
- Maintain the accuracy, quality, and integrity of all search information in the database.
Who you are:
The successful individual will be a degree qualified, collegiate and professionally confident Senior Associate (or similar) within a domestic or international Executive Search Business. We would also like to hear from you if you are a tenured recruiter who has spent most of their career placing C-Level executives either in-house or into a variety of external clients.
You will have outstanding organisational, project and time management skills and a desire to provide all stakeholders with excellence in client service. You have a high attention to detail and the ability to build substantial and meaningful relationships with C-Level candidates and clients, providing advice and direction along the way. Your ability to effectively source, approach and engage with senior prospects will be a critical success factor.

- Able to build credibility and trust quickly with various internal and external stakeholders.
