We are looking for an experienced General Manager | Licensee to take join our team managing one of our iconic venues in Paddington and Glebe. We have the opportunity to suit the right candidate with the right venue.

Our ideal candidate has operated high volume venues and is comfortable managing a multi-faceted business where excellent food, service, and entertainment play integral parts of the venue's offerings and appeal. Additionally, our ideal candidate has the personality and aptitude to deal with a varied and diverse clientele. Strong gaming knowledge preferable.

The Role

  • Pre-opening of the venue including team recruitment & selection
  • Overall Venue Management
  • Financial management and cost control
  • Venue Compliance and stock control
  • People management and performance
  • Community engagement and local area marketing
  • Work with marketing on revenue generation initiatives and plans
  • Ensuring the team is delivering excellent customer service
  • Recruitment and retention of staff
  • Entertainment, lighting and atmosphere
  • Continuous improvement in operations and service

About you

  • Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to lead and manage a large team
  • Proven experience in managing, motivation and driving a multi-faceted business
  • 2-3 years' experience in managing a similar size and style of venue
  • Strong restaurant service experience
  • A strong understanding and appreciation of gaming
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of current liquor legislation
  • Hands on approach with a natural ability to foster beneficial relationships
