We have grown to be one of the largest fully independent forklift and transport companies in Australia, specialising in Forklift Rentals, Equipment Servicing, Equipment Sales and Machinery Transport. Our head office is in Mount Waverley VIC, with branch locations in most major Australian cities.

We are currently seeking a suitably experienced individual to join our Transport team at our Mount Waverley branch.

The Role:

Reporting to the National Transport Manager, this role is pivotal in the success of the daily running of the Melbourne Transport operation.  As part of our VIC team, the position involves professional and customer orientated collaboration to provide the most efficient and reliable service, whilst incorporating the following core duties and functions:

• Daily coordination of trucks and drivers to maximise the efficient use of the fleet
• Maintain communication by regular liaison with drivers, internal departments and customers throughout the day, and updating job details in Transport scheduler program as required
• Ensure driver compliance of daily safe work practices
• Planning loads on vehicles to maximise effective use of the fleet
• Ensure drivers complete daily timesheets, pre trip inspections and proof of delivery as required
• Liaise with National Transport Manager to facilitate fleet repairs and maintenance as required
• Provide exceptional levels of customer service to our internal and external customers
• Ensure the compliance of National Heavy Vehicle Regulations and Workplace Health & safety legislation are maintained and practiced utilising company workplace health and safety plan and Transport operating guidelines

The successful candidate is passionate about Transport and appreciates the importance of excellent customer service.  You are a professional individual in anything you do, with a can-do positive attitude.

Specifically, you display the following:

• Previous Transport allocation experience would be highly regarded for this role, as would experience and knowledge of correct machinery loading and restraint practices, associated regulations, or holding a Heavy Vehicle licence
• A friendly and professional telephone manner, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal with customers and staff at all levels
• Sound capabilities using MS Office suite, and following InspHire program requirements, once trained
• Be able to work as part of the broader WFL team as well as autonomously where directed, you are a solution finder and display a 'can do' attitude
• The ability to plan, record and follow up, demonstrating competency and strength in organisation and meeting deadlines
• A keenness to learn new areas of the business
