Add expected salary to your profile for insights A great opportunity has become available in this newly created role for a Transport Coordinator to join our growing team at our Somerton branch.
The role is a Full Time, permanent position working Monday to Friday from 7 : 00am to 5 : 00pm (some afterhours phone calls may be required).
Key responsibilities : Communicating with internal teams and external customers in relation to movements Ensuring compliance with NHVR and Chain of Responsibility regulations Working closely with drivers to ensure they are aware of their obligations, including monitoring of hours and movements Troubleshooting and resolving transport-related issues in a timely manner Ensuring all work meets safety and compliance standards Assisting the hire team as required with some hire contract building Running transport across 2 states (VIC & SA)Engaging 3rd party transport providers to fulfil transport requirements as required, whilst adhering to set costs and budgets.
Experience required : Previous experience in logistics, transport coordination or a similar role Experience or knowledge with Pilot Transport and load restraint requirements A current Truck Licence (HR as a minimum)Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal A commitment to workplace safety (OH&S)Problem solving skills & ability to manage multiple tasks in high pressure environment About us Established in 1979, Pacific Hire is a traditional Equipment hire company with branches in Somerton, Wangaratta and now in South Australia.
