About The Role

We are seeking a full-time Finance and Administration Officer to join our dynamic team at Karting Australia based in Upper Coomera, QLD. This is a hands-on, in-office role in which, you will be responsible for providing a range of financial and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of our organisation.
What you'll be doing:
- Maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Processing invoices, payments, and accounts receivable in a timely manner
- Assisting with the preparation of budgets, financial statements, and other financial reports
- Providing administrative support across licensing, insurance, tribunals, our Officials Academy and media accreditation
- Travel coordination and assisting with office management, and event-related administration
- Collaborating with the wider team to support the overall operations of the organisation
No two days are the same – you'll have the chance to contribute across finance, administration, and project support while being an integral part of a small, high-performing team.
What we're looking for:
Summary
- Essential requirements: Minimum 2-3 years finance/bookkeeping experience, Certificate IV in Accounting/Bookkeeping or equivalent, Advanced MYOB skills, Payroll processing experience, Australian working rights, Current driver's licence.
- Desirable but not essential: Sports industry experience, Canva proficiency, Event administration background.
Details
- Demonstrated minimum 2–3 years' experience in finance, bookkeeping, and administration, preferably within the sports industry or a small business environment
- Demonstrated minimum 2–3 years' practical payroll experience, including superannuation, PAYG, and award interpretation
- Demonstrated strong financial and accounting knowledge with a sound understanding of financial processes, procedures, and Australian GST requirements
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency in MYOB (including payroll) and other financial/accounting software, with high-level skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (pivot tables, financial modelling)
- Possession of Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Accounting/Bookkeeping or Business Administration (Essential); Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Highly Regarded)
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a small team
- Proven administrative experience with flexibility and confidence to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and work autonomously
- A proactive and customer-focused approach to problem-solving
- Being proficient with Canva is a bonus
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa with full working rights in Australia
- Current Australian driver's licence and reliable transport for occasional travel
