Job Description

The role

We are seeking a positive, experienced Operations Transport Allocator to take strategic ownership of port slotting and metropolitan delivery activities. The Transport Allocator / Planner will work closely with a dedicated team to achieve the best utilisation of fleet assets based in our modern facility in Lytton.

As the Operations Transport Allocator / Planner, you will:

  • Communicate effectively with drivers, customers and management to ensure high service levels are met.
  • Provide a high level of customer service, updating on delivery issues or delays.
  • Coordinate and plan container movements in a timely, safe and cost-effective manner.
  • Coordinate Biosecurity inspections on site
  • Complete DNV Transport training as required by the business.

Qualifications

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in Planner/Fleet Control within Transport Operations.
  • Effective communication and liaise with management – written and verbal.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills – Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • The capability to work within a team environment and autonomously.
  • A high level of planning and organisational skills.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of industry regulations and fatigue management legislation would be an advantage.
  • Sound geographical knowledge of South East Queensland.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment and adapt to varying situations.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in 1 stop and container chain Highly regarded
  • Experience in Freight Tracker software Highly regarded
