We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Fleet Allocator to join our dynamic operations team. This is a key role coordinating drivers, vehicles, and freight to ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will perform the below duties, including but not limited to:

  • Coordinate daily allocations of company drivers and subcontractors for freight delivery
  • Optimise fleet utilisation to achieve efficient, cost-effective operations
  • Schedule driver routes, monitor progress, and provide real-time support when issues arise
  • Ensure compliance with mass, fatigue, maintenance and dangerous goods management polices and procedures
  • Liaise with the Maintenance team to manage service schedules and fleet availability
  • Maintain regular communication with Operations to ensure delivery timeframes are met
  • Provide timely transport updates to the Operations and Customer Service teams
  • Manage customer and agent correspondence professionally via phone and email
  • Monitor and report on fleet performance, utilisation and subcontractor expenditure
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery

About You:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Transport and Logistics
  • At least 1 year in a Fleet Controller or Allocator role
  • Strong understanding of transport and fatigue management compliance requirements
  • Excellent time management, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with drivers, subcontractors and internal teams
  • Proficiency in transport management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs
