We're expanding into a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility and seeking an afternoon shift Trade Qualified Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Casula, NSW. What You'll Be Doing

As a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our production equipment and infrastructure. Your key duties will include:

  • Preventative and Breakdown Maintenance: Inspect, service, and repair mechanical systems across a range of steel processing equipment, including MEP off-coil machines, benders, shearline cutters and mesh & trench mesh machines.
  • Fault Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Identify mechanical faults and implement timely solutions to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Installation and Commissioning: Assist with the setup, alignment, and testing of new machinery and mechanical systems
  • Fabrication and Repairs: Use hand tools, welding equipment, and machining tools to fabricate or modify components as needed
  • Hydraulics and Pneumatics: Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, and compressors
  • Workshop and Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and manage spare parts inventory
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to WHS policies and procedures, conduct risk assessments, and ensure all work meets regulatory standards
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in cross-functional projects with Engineering and Quality teams, contributing to process improvements and equipment upgrades
