Steelpipes is a premier supplier and stockist of high-quality large-diameter carbon steel pipes. Head office is located in Sydney, but we operate Australia-wide, supplying an extensive range of large steel pipe to the construction, marina, and piling industries.

A member of the Southern Steel Group, the largest privately owned steel distributor in Australia. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Internal Sales / Forklift Driver to join our team. This varied role involves approximately 50% internal sales and logistics support and 50% forklift and yard management duties.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Handling inbound sales enquiries via phone and email, providing and following up quotes, and processing orders
  • Coordinating deliveries and pick-ups with customers and transport providers
  • Maintaining clear communication with the team regarding stock, deliveries and dispatch
  • Forklift operation to load/unload trucks and manage yard flow
  • Receiving, scanning, and recording stock to maintain accurate inventory
  • Keeping the yard clean, organised, and compliant with WHS requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Previous sales or customer service experience (preferably in steel, building products, or related industries)
  • A current forklift licence.
  • Good computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
