The Role

Reporting directly to the Solicitor Director and two other solicitors presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to join the team at MTK Lawyers' in Miranda, NSW. As a Legal Secretary, you will be responsible for providing high-level administrative and secretarial support to our legal professionals, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our busy law firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily calendars and schedules of assigned lawyers, arranging meetings, conferences and travel as needed
  • Prepare and format a variety of legal documents such as contracts, briefs, and correspondence
  • Conduct legal research and compile information to support the work of lawyers
  • Liaise with clients, external parties and other members of the legal team
  • Receptionist duties to manage our front of office
  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring all records are organised and up-to-date
  • Provide general office support, including answering phones, managing incoming and outgoing mail, and ordering supplies

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar role within a law firm or legal department
  • Proficient in the use of legal software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
