Join the thriving team at Salter Brothers Hospitality as our new Management Accountant.

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for providing commercial assistance to the business, including financial analysis, budgeting / forecasting and performance reporting. Working collaboratively within the Finance team the Management Accountant will have an integral role in delivering support, advice and business intelligence to key stakeholders throughout our luxury Hotel portfolio.

This exciting role will be based at our Salter Brothers Hospitality Central Services which is located in Fortitude Valley.

Salter Brothers Hospitality currently operates 20 retreat hotels and estates; more than 29 restaurant and bars; 8 Spa Anise spas and other wellness facilities; and Spicers Scenic Rim Trail, one of the largest ecotourism ventures in Queensland with 38 rooms over five campsites.

The role and key duties;

  • Assist with month end Accounting and compile monthly management reports tracking financial performance against budgets and including balance sheet reconciliations;
  • Provide financial analysis on performance and profitability across all brands and outlets of our luxury Hotel portfolio;
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial release data including P&L, cash flow and balance sheet and other business metrics;
  • Collaborate closely with our Financial Controller and CFO to provide financial insights that contribute to informed decision-making;
  • Interpret and present complex financial information and analysis to the Senior Leadership Team as and when required;
  • Prepare banking compliance schedules and monitor key covenants;
  • Perform financial and operational audits, identifying key risks and controls;
  • Manage and support stakeholders and provide recommendations for process improvement;
  • Payroll including superannuation, FBT and payroll tax;
  • Any other adhoc tasks that may be requested by our Financial Controller and CFO.

Essential criteria required to be considered;

  • Bachelors' Degree in a relevant subject (Accounting, Finance, Business, or Commerce)
  • Ideally 3-5+ years experience in a similar role from within a Hotel / Hospitality environment;
  • Membership of CA/CPA or working towards will be highly regarded;
  • Advantage if experienced in Netsuite;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail;
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organisation;
  • Brisbane based or be willing to relocate.
